Map-Based Localization for Autonomous Driving Workshop (ECCV 2022)

In collaboration with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and Kudan, we are happy to share our upcoming 'Map-Based Localization for Autonomous Driving' Workshop which will take place during ECCV 2022, 23-27 October 2022.

This workshop will feature sessions surrounding localization and mapping topics in the field of autonomous driving and will include notable speakers such as:

  • Abhinav Valada (The University of Freiburg)
  • Andrew Davison (Imperial College London)
  • Henning Lategahn (atlatec GmbH)
  • Philipp Krähenbühl (The University of Texas at Austin)
  • Yuning Chai (Cruise)

Additionally, the 3rd edition of the re-localization challenge for autonomous driving based on the 4Seasons dataset will be taking place yet again. This challenge is open to the public for participation.

Meet the Artisense & Kudan team during the upcoming automatica 2022 conference! The Artisense booth can be found at munich_i’s platform within the AI.Society pavilion in Hall B4. munich_i is a joint project of Messe München, automatica and the Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI) of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

Participants can expect to experience a real time demonstration of our SLAM solutions running on a self-driving robot at our booth. Additionally, there will be guided tours which participants can register for at the MIRMI/TUM booth onsite.

Upcoming workshop and challenge at ICCV 2021, organized by TUM, Artisense & Kudan Inc.

Upcoming workshop and challenge at ICCV 2021, organized by TUM, Artisense & Kudan Inc.

Artisense, Kudan & the Technical University of Munich (TUM) will be organizing the 2nd edition of the Workshop on ‘Map-based Localization for Autonomous Driving’ at the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), taking place 11-17 October 2021. 

Confirmed speakers for this workshop include Wolfram Burgard (University of Freiburg, Toyota Research Institute), Michael Milford (Queensland University of Technology), and Torstens Sattler (Czech Technical University), with several more speakers to be expected.

Furthermore, the workshop will host the re-localization challenge based on the 4Seasons dataset that will feature more challenging real-world scenarios, ranging from urban to countryside environments. The event is sponsored by Kudan Inc. and Artisense.
